Mr. Seewald received his B.A. and M.A. in geology from Baylor University and his MBA from the University of Denver. From 1970 to 1975, he was a consulting geologist in Midland, Texas. He generated prospects in the Permian Basin, East Texas, and Alaska.
In 1975 he served as Assistant Director of Exploration Sciences for Forest Oil in Denver.
He supervised new exploration areas until a division office was established and conducted detailed evaluation of the oil and gas potential in seven Rocky Mountain Basins. In 1978 he became Vice President of Exploration for Wichita Industries, Inc. in Denver where he supervised all US and Canadian exploration. He established offices in Midland, Billings, and Grand Junction.
In 1983 he formed Seewald Energy Company, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. He initiated, managed, and completed eleven major exploration and development projects in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Alaska. Subsequent drilling resulted in 13 discoveries and three extensions of oil and gas fields.
From 1998 to 2001, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for National Fuel Corporation, a privately owned exploration and development company that operates in the Rocky Mountain area. Currently, Mr. Seewald is a project manager for new exploration plays in the Rocky Mountains and West Texas. |
